Nestled on a rare .78-acre cul-de-sac lot on the Near Town North End of Palm Beach Island, this Michael Burrows-designed residence is a masterclass in organic elegance. Spanning an impressive 8,746 total square feet, the home manages a remarkable feat: it is breathtakingly expansive yet remains refined, unpretentious, deeply comfortable, and bathed in natural light—a secluded sanctuary located moments from the heart of town. Every inch of the property was intentionally designed to foster an intimate connection with the surrounding landscape. Upon entry, a glass-walled foyer offers immediate views of the spectacularly serene pool and gardens, creating a magical atmosphere reminiscent of a private retreat in Bali or Thailand. This hallway doubles as an expansive gallery, providing a sophisticated backdrop for a significant collection of art and sculpture. The heart of the home features soaring open-beamed 22 ft high wood ceilings from redwood trees in Northern California, punctuated by skylights, where the sun filters in at different angles throughout the seasons. Walls of glass disappear to connect the interior living spaces to an 80- foot covered loggia. This outdoor room serves as a true respite from the heat, perfectly positioned to keep direct sun out while ensuring the interior remains bathed in soft, natural light. For cooler evenings, a shared fireplace offers a warm focal point between the formal living room and the library. The east wing is dedicated entirely to the primary suite, a private haven that transcends the traditional bedroom. Here, Burrows incorporated a poetic architectural marvel: a unique triangular "moon window." Precisely angled to frame the night sky, it allows the silver glow of the moon to drift across the room, inviting you to stargaze from the comfort of your pillows. It is a space designed for dreaming, where the rhythm of the lunar cycle becomes a personal backdrop to your evening retreat. This is a residence where the architecture bows to the landscape, offering a lifestyle of quiet sophistication and harmony with the lush Palm Beach environment. It is, quite simply, the most perfectly designed house for those seeking a soulful, artistic retreat.
