The Town of Davie is unique, as it has long resisted the expansion and urbanization other South Florida cities have embraced.  Just by its name, the TOWN of Davie, you can tell it's different!  Davie's western theme is apparent, as you drive down Davie Road and pass the Bergeron Rodeo Arena.  The Arena is home to many rodeos, horse shows, dog shows, monster truck shows and more.  The Town of Davie remains home to horse ranches, riding stables, nurseries and other agricultural businesses. Building and Construction has increased in recent years, so if you're really looking for acreage and want horses, you might want to consider Southwest Ranches.

Aside from the western theme, Davie is also home to the Miami Dolphins Football Team and Nova Southeastern University, which began as the Nova University of Advanced Technology in 1964 with 17 students, then merged with Southeastern University of Health Sciences in 1994, to become present day NSU, offering over 150 programs of study, including law, business, pharmacy, dentistry, nursing and more.

Due to the diversity of properties and lifestyles in Davie, there is something for almost everyone here! Homes range from small one story ranch homes to big, beautiful equestrian estates on 10 acre parcels of land.  Davie has some of the prettiest gated communities in South Florida, with beautiful homes on acreage, such as the home at the top of the page that I sold in Mystique. 

There are many beautiful communities such as Long Lake Ranches, Stonebrook Estates and Imagination Farms that run in the price range from $1.5M to as high as $5.5M.  There are also many homes not situated in gated communities that can be found under the subdivision known as Fla Fruit Lands.  Many of these are older ranch style homes on acreage.  With no Home Owner's Association, many of these are horse friendly. 

Forest Ridge is a very pretty community in Davie.  Forest Ridge has one of my favorite entrances, as it climbs up a beautiful winding road with mature Live Oak trees, along Pine Island Ridge.  The Ridge is the highest natural point in Broward County, measuring a whopping 29 feet above sea level!  There's so much history here, as the land was inhabited by the ancient Tequesta Indians and then the Seminole Indians in the 1800's.  Homes range in price from the $500's to slightly over $1M.

If you're looking for a condo, Pine Island Ridge is a great community, built around the Pine Island Ridge Golf & Country Club.  You can live in an affordable condo and enjoy the country club lifestyle.  Condos start around $150k for a small 1 bedroom unit to the mid $400's for a 2-3 bedroom townhouse.  This area is very popular for college students, as it's close to the colleges, but offers a quiet lifestyle where medical students can live off campus and study.  I've sold condos to many college students and they've all loved the community.  They also enjoy being able to go to nearby "Chippers," which is located inside the clubhouse.

Pretty Shenandoah Parkway has tree lined roads and homes ranging in price from a small starter home in the $400k's to larger 4-5 bedroom homes in the $1M range.
